Ban Nuclear Weapons Now

Nuclear weapons are the only weapons of mass destruction not yet prohibited by an international convention, even though they have the greatest destructive capacity of all weapons. Isn’t it time for a ban?

In ICAN’s latest publication, Ban Nuclear Weapons Now, we argue that – with enough public pressure and political leadership – a treaty banning nuclear weapons can be achieved in the near future.

This would not only make it illegal for nations to use or possess nuclear weapons; it would also help pave the way to their complete elimination. Nations committed to reaching the goal of abolition should begin negotiating a ban now.

Please share this booklet widely through your networks. Help us convince diplomats, parliamentarians and the public that a nuclear weapons ban should be the next big negotiating objective of the international community.
